First introduced in the early 1980’s, these engines were the first lightweight air-cooled diesel engines with direct fuel injection. The L Series revolutionised the small diesel engine market with their compactness and extremely smooth running. With outputs of 3,5 kW – 7,5 kW they are used extensively to power a wide range of construction equipment, portable generators and centrifugal water pumps.
The TNV Series set the benchmark for innovation and reliability, with in excess of 520 000 units produced annually at the Nagahama production facility in Japan. Conforming up to tier IV and CARB emission regulations, this range is now extensively used in the power generation, construction, marine and agricultural sectors to name but a few. Prodist import the range of fixed speed (1 500 – 1 800 RPM) engines for power generation with outputs ranging from 5,5 kW – 45 kW as well as the variable speed range with outputs ranging from 14 kW – 61 kW. Prodist also supplies a range of generators , powered by the TNV-engine , with outputs of 10kva-45kva. Options available are keystart panels , AMF(Automatic Mains Failure) panels and sound attenuated canopies.
TS/ TF Range:
First introduced into the Southern Africa market in the late 1970s, this is the range that initially established the Yanmar brand as a robust and reliable product. With outputs ranging from 6 kW – 23 kW, these engines are used extensively in the agricultural market as well as on certain industrial applications, such as pedestrian rollers and hammer mills. Proof positive of Yanmar’s quality and reliability is that there are many of these engines still in service some 40 years later.
